Hi, so I am currently a high school senior. Back in October, I filled out an internship application for a graphics/art company in NYC. They were looking for high school seniors bound for college who are planning to major in graphic design. My mom and I knew it was a long shot because we figured a lot of people will be applying, so I applied just for the heck of it - I didn’t even think I was going to get accepted.

I have no formal experience with graphics, but I’ve had photoshop for a while, I think maybe for 3 years now, and I’ve gotten quite used to it. I sent them a few of my photoshop works. Just last week I heard about them, and I found out that I was one of the applicants picked!

The internship starts on May, just a month before graduation. That leaves me around 4 months, give or take, to save up. I’m currently working as a tutor in my school and it’s more of a hit or miss most of the time. I usually only have one student to tutor every week, and I’m paid minimum wage. If we calculate the 8-week living expense, plus the airfare, I’m going to need just short of one grand.

Since my mom is a major advocate for going through with the experience, she’s paying for half the whole cost, which leaves me with the other half. I’m pretty sure I can pay for half of my share, but the other half, I just don’t know.

That’s why I’m putting up my adsense again to try and earn a few dollars that will definitely help me. I appreciate your help. I’ve had this dream of working at a graphics company and now I have the possibility of living it.

I will promote you to my followers if you want me to. Thank you :)
